COVID-19 Changes Jail Operations

The COVID-19 pandemic is necessitating many changes in all facets of society. The Court of the 13th Judicial Circuit was forced to modify its procedures for hearing cases. Likewise, the Boone County Jail has had to adapt to this fluid situation. For the safety of citizens, our staff and the detainee population, the Boone County Jail, effective immediately, has canceled all civilian entry into the Jail facility that is not required to maintain Jail operations. This includes canceling all visitation for friends, family, attorneys, P&P, Court Services, A.A., N.A., Jail Ministry, etc. The public lobby entrance to the Jail will remain open for bonding purposes. This will remain in effect until further notice.
