Boone County Sheriff's Office
COVID-19 Changes Jail Operations
The COVID-19 pandemic is necessitating many changes in all facets of society. The Court of the 13th Judicial Court was forced to modify its procedures for hearing cases. Likewise, the Boone County Jail has had to adapt to this fluid situation. In 2021, video visitation was added through jailatm.com as an avenue for friends, family, and legal counsel to visit with detainees. While keeping this as an option, effective April 18th, 2022, the Boone County Jail will resume non-contact visitation for friends and family. The visitation schedule can be found on this page under Custody Operations. Further, effective May 1st, 2022, Jail Ministry, A.A., and N.A. will resume for detainees.
