Welcome to the Boone County Recorder's Office!

Online Search Update - September 1, 2023

To continue to provide the citizens of Boone County with the best service possible, the Recorder of Deeds online search system is undergoing a major update and is currently scheduled to be completed on Friday, September 1, 2023. Once the update is complete, current users will need to register for a new account.

This update will enhance security protections for the online access of recorded documents, while continuing to provide the public with the ability to search and view documents, free of charge. Additionally, the update will allow users to directly purchase official real estate documents online and download them immediately. Finally, the update offers users an optional subscription plan to reduce the cost per page for bulk document purchases. Information on pricing can be found on our subscription pricing sheet.

Should you have any questions, please contact our office at recorder@boonecountymo.org.

A county-wide elected office with a four year term, the Recorder's position is held by Bob Nolte. Mr. Nolte took office January 1, 2023.

The Recorder of Deeds is responsible for making record of documents primarily in real estate and the issuance of marriage licenses. In addition, Uniform Commercial Code, Military Discharge Papers, tax liens and miscellaneous documents may be recorded upon request and in compliance with statutes.

Records in this office provide data about real estate transactions in a historical perspective. Deeds, deeds of trust, releases, easements, surveys, plats, restrictions, cemetery deeds, wills, road right of ways, articles of incorporation, patents, affidavits and marriage license information make up an example of the documents.

Boone County’s website allows records to be searched online for Real Estate, Marriage, Uniform Commercial Code, and Tax Liens databases. Images of recorded documents are also available in some instances.
